Uinta Wyld

Uinta Brewing Co.   Salt Lake City, UT

Notes:
Extra Pale Ale
12oz Bottle
4.0% ABV
29 IBU

Appearance:  Pours a light harvest orange…no real bubbles, no real head…(2/5)

Smell:  A nice mix of malt straightness and citrus hops…it’s funny, some smells I get way more orange/lemon and some are very malty…it’s got a really inviting aroma…(3.25/5)

Taste:  Definitely extra pale…there’s like a pale beginning, a pale middle and a pale end with some citrus hops…blunt pale malts through and through here…a little, tiny bit of bitterness does do enough to add some additional flavor and make it a drinkable brew…(3/5)

Mouthfeel:  light and crisp with little carbonation…it sorta comes and goes…it’s a bit watery…(2.75/5)

Overall:  Definitely an extra pale ale…the flavor is good and it’s certainly a drinkable beer…as a hops guy, I am always waiting for that hoppy kick somewhere along the way and this brew just doesn’t have that…and it’s not supposed to…but what it does bring to the table is a fresh malt flavor that truly can stand alone…it is also certified organic, which I appreciate…(3/5)

Score:

(2.88/5)
