Appearance:
Tons of awesome head, wider than a thumb, that lasts for a few drinks…a
rich, dark brown, with creamy khaki colored head, this is the look of a good
porter…(4/5)
Smell: A mild
smelling beer…definitely malt aromas, with the chocolate, coffee, and subtle
vanilla flavors playing a shared backseat role…(3.5/5)
Taste:
Awesome! Chocolate, caramel
and coffee combine cohesively creating constant contentment…Citrus hops carries
the flavor through with a bit of bitterness lingering after each sip…their
malts are a great conveyor for other flavors…(4/5)
Mouthfeel:
Moderate carbonation, fully coats my tongue with creamy (vanilla) malt
flavor…rich, leaves a lasting impression of goodness…(4/5)
Overall: I like
this beer…porters are always a favorite of mine and this is another good player
in the game…it doesn’t stand out, but it is very enjoyable…I will keep this in
the rotation from time to time…(3.75/5)
