Sierra Nevada Beer Camp #43

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.  Chico, CA

Notes:
Imperial Pilsner
12oz Bottle
5.6% ABV

Appearance:  Golden in color, very transparent…what head there was quickly vanished…though there are few bubbles in the middle, beer looks kinda flat…(2/5)

Smell:  Definitely has the classic grainy pilsner smell…tons of floral notes…(2.5/5)

Taste:  It’s a floral flavored pilsner, that’s for sure…sweet, grassy, crisp and refreshing…nothing too dramatic in any one direction, but overall, it has good flavor…(3/5)

Mouthfeel:  Very little carbonation…sweet, citrus flavors dominate with back of the tongue hoppiness after tones…good lasting flavor though: citrus, hops and grains…(3/5)

Overall:  A very drinkable beer…nice, though maybe not too unique, blend of grains, citrus and hop flavor…I wouldn’t say this beer sets the world on fire, but I would drink a couple of these while playing poker or watching the game…(2.75/5)

(2.74/5)
