Great Black Swamp Wild Duck

Great Black Swamp Brewing Co.  Toledo, OH

Notes:
I.P.A.
22oz Bottle
@5.9 ABV

Appearance:  Nice orange hue…some bubble action on the inside…large head made of large bubbles that are lingering…it’s not very far from white in color…nice head lasts throughout…(3.5/5)

Smell:  Tons of citrus and floral hops…not much to it...(3/5)

Taste:  Floral IPA, with a fig undertone…tastes of citrus and perfumey hops, but not too bitter…very to extremely floral…(2.5/5)

Mouthfeel:  Very light, fluffy carbonation…sweet floral flavor completely covers the palette initially, then it settles leaving floral bitterness…(2.5/5)

Overall:  I’ve been coming across more and more floral IPA’s lately and haven’t really found one I particularly like…the flower bitterness overpowers all other flavors from the beginning to end forcing a “take it or leave it” situation…from hence forward, I’ll be leaving…(2/5)

Score:

(2.56/5)
