Lexington Ave I.P.A.

Lexington Ave Brewing Co.   Asheville, NC

Appearance:  A bright caramel appearance...dense...head is just off, a big thin with nice lacing...good looking brew...

Smell:  Citrus and pale malts first...very balanced, which for me means "a malty IPA"...it has a rich extra paleness aroma...earthy with a citrus twist...

Taste:  Rich hoppy flavor: woodsy, citrus, mild earthy...tons of bitter bite in the third phase for sure...all this is well balanced with earthy/caramel malt tones that are almost equally strong...slight wheat flavor keeping things light...a  nice summer IPA...has faint yeast musk...

Mouthfeel: medium body with medium carbonation...tons of earthy bitterness  mixed with pale/caramel malt...a nice lingering earthy bitterness...

Overall: A solid IPA, well with trying...check The Lab is a great spot for a summertime day brew or growler fill up...i love it's open air and lively atmosphere, this is one of my favorite spots to hang out in Asheville...
Score:  3.75/5
